Weekend Security Officer

Job Summary: Join our team as a Weekend Security Officer, where you will provide essential security services and establish positive relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe environment through constant awareness of your surroundings and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control access points and manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings and perimeter areas.
• Escort personnel and materials as needed.
• Inspect security and fire risks.
• Handle specific assignments based on operational needs.
• Check in and out trucks and personal vehicles.
• Inspect box trucks and verify seals.

Detailed Duties: Duties may vary based on department size, structure, and post assignments. Your role will include:

• Reporting on time to your post in complete uniform.
• Providing a professional image by greeting customers and employees courteously.
• Staying updated on all post orders and communication from management.
• Monitoring your assigned area for suspicious activities and responding to incidents.
• Watching surveillance cameras or security equipment as per post orders.
• Understanding emergency procedures to respond to alarms and emergencies effectively.
• Keeping accurate Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, and Incident Reports.
• Suggesting improvements for safety and loss prevention based on your observations.
• Maintaining knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems, and other related equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with training and regulations established by management and relevant authorities.
• Communicating with the Security Supervisor regarding any new security issues or changes in policies.
